OK so how many people would like to listen to their podcasts wirelessly using the A2DP technology? Many phones come with it these days, but the only way to use it is to wear big bulky headphones on your head - the kind that make you look like you belong in the 70's listening to disco. Let's face it, they also mess up the hair.
I've look all over, went to CES 2007, checked on-line, you name it. The problem is, A2DP is a STEREO technology, so why would anybody want to only use it in one ear? Well, DUH! Those of us who listen to streaming radio or podcasts of course!
After literally years of looking, I found the answer. The answer is in the Jabra BT8010. The deal here is that it has the A2DP going for it, and you can simply detach the second ear and wahla! One ear A2DP streaming!
Not currently available in the United States, but if you look hard enough you can find sources that will ship it to you pretty much anywhere. Drop me a note if you'd like more info on where to find it.
Here are some specs from the Jabra web page -
Up to 10 hours talk time/ up to 6 hours music streaming/up to 300 hours standby time, OLED scrollable display, DSP, Mono headset weighs 23 grams, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and AVRCP
A GREAT buy!
