How to send an MMS from an iPhone

Ok, in case you should want to send a photo FROM your iPhone, and have it show up as an MMS on another type of phone (you mean you know people who don't use an iPhone) just send an email as usual, and use these prefixes -

Alltel = xxxxxxxxxx@message.alltel.com
AT&T = xxxxxxxxxx@mms.att.net
Boost Mobile = xxxxxxxxxx@myboostmobile.com
Einstein PCS = xxxxxxxxxx@einsteinmms.com
Sprint = xxxxxxxxxx@pm.sprint.com
T-Mobile = xxxxxxxxxx@tmomail.net
US Cellular = xxxxxxxxxx@mms.uscc.net
Verizon Wireless = xxxxxxxxxx@vzwpix.com
Virgin Mobile = xxxxxxxxxx@vmobl.com

Simple as pie!

Comments

In my experience, this method of sending to MMS email gateways is highly unreliable. Often the messages never arrive. Apple and AT&T need to better support MMS to/from the iPhone. I try to make the case here: http://blog.mcmanus-family.com/2008/09/the-case-for-mms-on-the-iphone.html
